Like his former colleague Gus Bradley in Jacksonville, Falcons coach and former Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn brings in his potential fixture along the front seven in Dupree. Khalil Mack’s exceptional rookie campaign for the Raiders figures to make teams less hesitant about selecting pass rushers from ‘secondary schools’. Mack passed the eye test ten times over coming out of Buffalo. Dupree, one of the ‘darlings’ of this year’s draft class, did the same and figures to benefit when the draft finally comes around. More akin to Fowler than players like Beasley or Gregory, Dupree has shown the ability to move around and serve multiple roles from his position within a 3-4 or 4-3 hybrid defense that the Falcons figure to use. Atlanta is in a unique spot as far as the status of their franchise and the turnover it’s going through.
