6. player. 30. With both top quarterbacks off the board and a hefty free agent spending spree of their own in the rear-view, the Jets go for the top talent on the board and bring in Randy Gregory. Even with his reputation taking a hit as a result of his recent admission of a failed drug test, Gregory is a potential impact player at the next level. Especially with new coach Todd Bowles and his affinity for a defense capable of reaching the quarterback at any time, the former Nebraska Cornhusker could end up being a relative steal at 6th overall. Especially considering that the Jets already boast an impressive crop of young, pass-rushing defenders; Gregory could step into a low-pressure situation on a unit loaded with talent. The Jets are very much a team in need to increase the overall level of skill on their roster if they expect to catch the Patriots anytime soon. Nabbing Gregory 6th overall is the type of selection that could help speed up that process.. Defensive End. Nebraska. Randy Gregory
