West Virginia. Kevin White. 4. player. 28. Heading into the offseason, many figured the Raiders to be poised for a major spending spree when it came to free agency. Given their surplus of cap space and dire need for skill players to surround quarterback Derek Carr with, Oakland looked to be the team with a lot on their agenda. Unfortunately for the Raiders, they missed out on almost every big name they were attached to and have done very little to provide their franchise quarterback with adequate weapons around him. Oakland may be passing up a better player in Leonard Williams with this pick, but Carr’s development as a passer is in a fragile stage. The Raiders could be doing irreversible damage by not providing their most important player on the roster with help on the offensive side of the ball. Personally, I don’t have much of a preference between White and Alabama’s Amari Cooper. White might end up being a bit more physical of a player than Cooper which is why I have him going before him. Oakland may have found the ever-elusive franchise quarterback in Derek Carr. They bring in White to give Carr a number one target to continue to grow with.. Wide Receiver
