Quarterback. Oregon. Marcus Mariota. 2. player. 35. Though all signs point to the Titans potentially overthinking this selection and either using it on another prospect or trading it, ultimately I think they’ll realize that taking a quarterback like Mariota is a much easier call than any option most likely on the table. It is true that a team could coax the Titans out of the second overall slot with a titanic trade offer, but that is yet to be seen. Tennessee plays in the same division as Andrew Luck and, along with the other three teams in the AFC South, better start catching up in the quarterback department soon. Zach Mettenberger may end up being a solid NFL quarterback, but teams no longer have the luxury to wait and see when it comes to that position. Tennessee has a chance to land a potentially special player with the 2nd overall pick. After a bunch of smoke that may lead people to believe otherwise, ultimately I think the Titans make the easy selection and draft Mariota.
