Offensive Tackle. LSU. La'el Collins. 19. player. 53. Cleveland doesn’t project do to much well offensively given their situation at quarterback and the dearth of talent on the outside. One thing they do project to do well is run the ball, a lot. Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West form a promising duo of young back and an offensive line that features Joe Thomas will always be able to beat teams with the run. Rather than try to fix their problems on the outside before having their quarterback issue solved, the Browns strengthen a strength by taking a potential book-end tackle of the future in Collins. Running the ball can be the great equalizer when it comes to talent discrepancy on offense. Especially in the AFC North, where teams play in some of the coldest weather in the league by season’s end, those that can effectively implement their run game over the course of four quarters give themselves a better chance to win. A common narrative when it comes to how contenders are made is that they build from the lines-back.
