Five things I’ve learned about the Eagles after five games

2. The Linc feels louder and might be giving the Eagles some sort of advantage

I felt it at the Linc yesterday–Austin Davis certainly did when he had a crucial delay of game penalty–but the crowd at the Linc feels louder even on television this year. I don’t work for Jeffrey Lurie and I don’t have any reason to just kiss the Eagles’ ass (I’m not Dave Spadaro), but it really feels like the Eagles finally have some sort of noticeable home-field advantage at the Linc.
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t Seattle, but when the Vet left, so did the scary atmosphere of playing in Philly. The Eagles may finally have gotten some of that back by closing off the West endzone.
What is worth passing along is while I love that the Eagles are energy efficient with their wind turbines, it certainly seemed to me that some of the Eagles chants got caught up in the turbines yesterday. Granted, yesterday was more windy than normal, but that was just an observation that I had.
