NOEL STILL GROWING?

Since the end of the NBA season, 7ers big man Nerlens Noel has remained extremely active, albeit more with his college community back at the University of Kentucky. Even spending less than a season as a Wildcat, Noel has always been extremely supportive and proud of his brief NCAA career. Recently, Noel joined the crew at KSTV covering all things Kentucky to discuss life in the NBA and how he envisions his future. The show’s host, a man named Thomas Beisner (@Beisnder_cn2) released some very intriguing speculation after his sitdown with the 6th overall pick from the 2013 Draft.

Though this is hard to imagine, it is not out of the realm of possibility. Noel is only 20 years old and still appears to be developing a man’s body. If he happens to have breached the seven-foot threshold, last offseason’ trade of Jrue Holiday that brought Noel on board could end up being even more of a steal.

A BRETT BROWN QUOTE FOR YOUR TROUBLES

I can’t wait until this guy can put a serviceable product on the floor. He seems to ‘get’ basketball from every possible perspective and has the ability to convey that knowledge in such a unique way. This gem, despite how bad the 76ers were on offense, should be a welcome sign when the team gets some more talent on the perimeter.

Even the legendary coach, P.J. Carlesimo unearthed a nugget from the Brett Brown archives.

Brilliant.

MALIK ROSE HITS THE FELT

Speaking of guys who deserve the 76ers to be good for his own profession, color commentator Malik Rose is one of the most entertaining men in the business. His broadcast alongside Mark Zumoff, even as the team piled up losses this season, is among the most riveting of all the different teams and one has to look forward to him actulally covering a good team. Rose, with the season in the rear-view, sat alongside some prominent figures in the world of professional poker recently and, to his credit, he looked like he belonged.
