OMG IT’S CHIP KELLY! LOOK HE’S ALIVE

Chip Kelly is really good at staying out of the spotlight. This is a picture courtesy of the twitter account of Kyle Rowland, who writes for Ohio State. Kelly was attending the Buckeyes pro day with his eye on a few of the players in attendance. One notable name was cornerback Bradley Roby. Prior to the season, many penciled Roby in as the top cornerback in the draft class. Although it was a down year by first round standards, Roby had a strong combine and has vaulted himself back into the conversation for a first round pick.

Chip attending these pro days is essential and a very interesting facet as to why I think the Eagles will draft extremely well for the next few seasons. Kelly has recruited a huge chunk of the draft class set to enter the league last year. Aside from their measurables, Kelly has sat down with most of these players in their most vulnerable state. He knows things that entrenched NFL coaches do not and for him to not take advantage of such would be a disservice to the team. For the draft being two months away, the excitement is higher than ever.

MR. BARWIN GOES TO WASHINGTON

Eagles linebacker and noted ‘coolest guy on the team’ Connor Barwin has been keeping busy during this offseason. A mogul for the promotion of physical fitness, Barwin made the trek down I-95 recently to speak on Capitol Hill on the topic. Sometimes, as a fan of sports teams, one has to bend over backward to try to convince oneself that a player on the team is a likeable guy. With Barwin, trying to find a negative quality is far more difficult.
