Sometimes, in all of the turmoil of the Phillies offseason, one has to turn to the team’s lone ray of sunshine to crack a smile. The speedy centerfielder was in classic ‘Ben Revere Hilarious Picture’ form on his Instagram recently, channeling a moment from last Sunday’s Academy Awards.

Our centerfielder is 10 years old…Carry on.

THE ‘I KNOW IT’S SPRING TRAINING BUT I’M STILL WORRIED’ STAT OF THE WEEK

The Phillies are batting .189 as a team, to be exact, this spring. They are 34 points off of the 2nd worst team, Houston, and have 69 strikeouts as a team (tied for 4th most). We can complain about how the team lied to us about Cole Hamels all we want, but the issue with this team the last few seasons has been at the plate. I realize a lot of spring training is about finding one’s swing and getting into a grove without tiring themselves out before the regular season, but this spring has been very alarming. Anyone else actually dreading opening day?

AT LEAST THE PHILLIES HAVE THE BEST DISTRACTIONS

Much has been made recently about the ‘foul ball’ girl employed by the Phillies at Bright House Field. Personally, I don’t see what all the fuss is about.
