The Eagles re-vamped Nike Elite Midnight Green Jerseys will make week six debut

Earlier this off-season, we learned that the Eagles would be without their normal “Midnight Green” home jerseys early in the season, as they were upgraded to Nike Elite 51 technology. Why this couldn’t be done during the offseason is yet to be seriously explained (apparently midnight green wasn’t in Nike’s color rainbow), but it meant that the Eagles’ black alternate would be worn early in the season, in the place of the “Midnight Green” jerseys. While that was welcome news to some fans, as the black jerseys look pretty sick having been upgraded to the Nike Elite 51 technology, others wanted a clearer timetable on when the “Midnight Green” jerseys would return. Earlier this week, Dave Spadaro of Eagles.com, gave us a clearer timetable.

Hopefully as soon as the “Midnight Green” ones return, production on a Kelly Green alternate begins. It might take a couple seasons for Nike to get that color jersey made.
