Eagles Announce 8-Man Practice Squad

Sunday afternoon, like every other team in the NFL, the Eagles announced their practice squad for the 2014 season. Despite the league adjusting the roster to allow for 10 players, the Eagles decided to carry just eight for their first version of the squad.

The team is still eligible to make the additions to fill out to the maximum number of ten. Running back Matthew Tucker, who many thought was a candidate to make the team’s 53-man active roster, returns to the fold as he nurses a shoulder injury sustained over the course of the preseason. There is still a strong possibility of the team continuing to tweak their roster in the coming days as more pieces from around the league shake loose.
