Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of the infamous Riley Cooper video surfacing, in which Cooper used the N-word refer to an African-American security guard at a Kenny Chesney concert. At that time, Cooper’s Eagles’ career, and NFL career in general, were in jeopardy. Had it not been for a Jeremy Maclin torn ACL, Cooper might have been let go by the team in training camp at this time last yer.
Instead, Cooper stayed on board, had a breakout eight-touchdown season, and earned a five-year extension in the off-season. So excuse Cooper, given his history, if a small foot injury in training camp doesn’t fluster him.
Cooper had been seen wearing a walking boot this morning at Novacare, to which the Eagles offered this explanation.
Chip Kelly: Riley Cooper in walking boot with foot injury, just cautionary, should be back in a few days.

So essentially, it’s no big deal. Whether Cooper plays a ton when the Eagles travel to Soldier Field a week from today, remains to be seen.
Even if he doesn’t play, I’m pretty confident in his continued drive to grasp Chip’s offense, and his chemistry with Nick Foles.
