One of the more interesting storylines of Eagles training camp in 2014 is the backup QB position spot. Behind Nick Foles, there is a relative level of uncertainty between veteran Mark Sanchez, second-year pro Matt Barkley, and even G.J. Kinne. Early odds-on-favorite Sanchez does not arrive in Philadelphia without a fair amount of notoriety, mostly for the wrong reasons. From the infamous butt-fumble to his peculiar photo shoots, the former ‘Sanchize’ left the New York Jets on shaky terms.

Though few expect him to amount to much more than a backup, Sanchez’s veteran presence and physical tools should help the team if Foles misses any stretch of time. If there’s one aspect of his makeup that will be a departure from Nick Foles’s laid back approach to the position, it is Sanchez’s charisma and ‘swagger’. Though as a starter, it actually made his struggles more comical; Sanchez rarely lacked in the confidence department in his stretch with the Jets.

Saturday afternoon, the Eagles had their first uniform practice of training camp for the 2014 season. The crew from TheMMQB.com was in attendance as they document various training camps from around the league. The site’s Video Producer, John De Petro, happened to catch perhaps the most entertaining moment of camp in a short GIF. Needless to say, Sanchez’s swagger is in midseason form.

Your move, Matt Barkley.
