When Adam Silver initially announced the Joel Embiid was coming to Philadelphia, he didn’t give off the jubilant reaction we all hoped for.
I kind of figured that something had to be up because, even taking my Philly bias out of things, this team seems like a pretty bright place to come for the next ten or so seasons. The risk is this entire situation is really more on the Sixers than it is on Embiid, because they don’t know if he will last that long.
Sure enough, the delay at Embiid’s agent’s house prevailed.
Embiid might not be from America, but he certainly seems to have the hip-hop dance down pretty well.
In all seriousness, that’s a pretty happy face. He couldn’t top how happy Andrew Wiggins seemed to be after going number one overall, but I’ll take it.
