Allen Iverson isn’t a perfect speaker. Allen Iverson doesn’t like wearing suits and dressing professionally. But isn’t that part of what we loved about him?

At this weekend’s Tribeca Film Festival, Sunday to be more specific, a documentary on Iverson will be screened for the first time. While sports documentaries are usually hit or miss in terms of quality, Allen Iverson tends to be an extremely interesting interview and a speaker who overcomes his disposition of not being a great speaker and delivers something that you would want to hear.

Certainly, a documentary that features Larry Brown and Dwyane Wade, has had a decent amount of money put into it. And judging off of this trailer, it looks like the documentary will be pretty awesome.

I’m actually surprised to see this, because from anyone that I have talked to in Iverson’s camp or close to it, Iverson has reached a point in his life over the course of the last two years, where he really doesn’t want to be bothered by the media or fans anymore. It isn’t necessarily personal, but given all his off the court drama, that stance is understandable. Knowing that, I would encourage Sixers fans, and NBA fans in general, to see this documentary, because there is a good chance that this is the last time we hear from Iverson for at least a year or two, as he hopefully tries to put his family life back together.
