(Video) DeSean Jackson explains exchange between him and Chip Kelly when he was released

Yesterday evening, DeSean Jackson was a guest on the Aresenio Hall show, where he discussed, among other things, the exchange he and Chip Kelly had in the phone call where Jackson was told he was being let go by the team. From the sounds of the video above, it really doesn’t sound like even DeSean knows the exact reason that he was let go for.

Certainly if reports of Jackson cursing Chip Kelly out and becoming a distraction in the locker room were true, then Kelly might not have needed to give Jackson an actual reason for him being released. Considering that we didn’t hear Jackson give any sort of public backlash after his release, I’m tending to think that might have been the case.

And for the record, I LOVE (sarcasm alert!) when athletes on shows with hosts who clearly don’t know anything about sports, and kiss their guests’ ass like they were innocent victims in their circumstances. I’m not saying that DeSean would have been released if I was running the Eagles, but from the sounds of things, he wasn’t exactly the ideal guy in the locker room. Chip Kelly didn’t cause DeSean to misbehave and not carry himself like a professional, and the idea that the national media is using Jackson as another reason to hate on Philly, is ridiculous, yet predictable.
