Ominous Report: DeSean Jackson to visit with Redskins next week

While I become increasingly convinced that the Eagles used an NJ.com report that DeSean Jackson had ties to the Crips as an excuse to release DeSean Jackson (which they planned to do anyway because he had become a locker-room distraction), the DeSean rumor mill continues to turn. And according to Dianna Russini of NBC 4 in Washington D.C., number 10 will visit with a former divisional rival early next week.

In what has been a relatively quiet off-season in Daniel Synder terms, this move would be so Redskins. And if you take into account that the Redskins have a new offensive-minded head coach in Jay Gruden, a healthy Robert Griffin III expected to enter the 2014 season, and a good array of offensive weapons in Alfred Morris and Pierre Garcon, the addition of DeSean would make the Redskins a pretty formidable offense in 2014.
Update: 8:00 EST: Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network has confirmed that not only will D-Jax visit the Redskins, but they will be the first team that he visits.

I wouldn’t even know how to react if DeSean went to Washington, but it would only seem human nature for him to go somewhere we he has a decent chance to not only win, but to beat Chip Kelly and the Eagles in the process.
