Report: 49ers didn't call about DeSean Jackson; Pats seem unlikely

Less than two hours after Twitter exploded due to a Derrick Gunn report that the Eagles were ‘entertaining’ offers on DeSean Jackson, followed by a Tim McManus tweet that the Eagles were seeking ‘at least’ a third-round pick for DeSean Jackson, and a Geoff Mosher report that both the 49ers and Patriots had inquired on Jackson’s services, Albert Breer of the NFL Network provided us with some clarification on the Jackson rumors.

Update: Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network seems to believe that the Eagles and Patriots are both doing their due-diligence on the market for DeSean Jackson, but nothing is imminent.
