Report: Eagles’ QB Coach Bill Lazor Heading To Miami To Become Offensive Coordinator

Section 215-A Philadelphia City Sports Blog
Despite the fact that it seemed like a done-deal yesterday that Eagles’ quarterbacks’ coach Bill Lazor was set to follow Jim Caldwell to Detroit, to take over as the Lions’ offensive coordinator, Lazor is reportedly taking his talents to south beach (yeah I went there) to join Joe Philbin’s staff, as the Dolphins’ offensive coordinator.

Lazor was linked to Miami early last week, but his name appeared to be out of consideration late last week. That said, considering that rumors were that the ‘phins offensive coordinator search came down to Lazor and Kyle Shanahan, I’m not sure why this didn’t get done sooner.

Lazor leaves Philadelphia after just one season, in which he had success with both Michael Vick and Nick Foles playing the quarterback position in Chip Kelly’s offense. The emergence of Foles, is largely the reason why Lazor became a lock to become an offensive coordinator for some team this offseason.
