After missing seven consecutive games with a shoulder injury, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio is reporting that Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs will play tonight against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Per a league source, Briggs will play against the Eagles.  He officially is listed as questionable.

Florio does remind us, that even though Briggs appears to be suiting up tonight, he isn’t even sure if he will be effective.

Briggs has expressed concern in recent days regarding his conditioning, given his inability to work out while injured.

In essence, Briggs may play tonight, but he will play in a limited role. Chicago may just be playing Briggs in hopes of a morale boost for the team, and maybe getting the rust off if next week’s game against the Packers is for the division.
