Nick Foles Is Going To be On The Cover Of This Week's Edition Of Sports Illustrated

In the midst of an incredible hot streak, after the Eagles pulled out an impressive comeback win against the Detroit Lions in one of the most unforgettable games in recent memory, Nick Foles will be this week’s Sports Illustrated cover athlete.

The text of : “A dreadful start, no home wins before November, another winter of discontent looming in Philly. And then Nick Foles happened,” couldn’t possibly put the Eagles season into better perspective. Not only did Foles improve the play at the quarterback position, but the entire team (mainly the defense, offensive line, and Riley Cooper) stepped up their level of play, when Foles became the starting quarterback.

Let’s just hope that the curse of being on the SI cover that many sports fans buy into, doesn’t affect the Eagles current five-game winning streak or their NFC East division lead.

Nice story but I think the reason was the killer photos that came out of the Eagles-Lions snow game. As Chris Burke noted, it was a game you couldn’t turn away from. The snow made for some of the best sports photos ever.
