Philadelphia Phillies general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. squashed rumors that the his team was willing to listen to trade offers for ace lefthanders Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels, when he met with the press this afternoon.

No word on what exactly the Phillies are built to win, but at least we have heard from Ruben since the trade rumors surfaced this morning.
Still, this doesn’t mean that the Phillies couldn’t be blown away by an offer for Lee or Hamels and decide to pull the trigger on it, just that Amaro isn’t going to publicly admit that.
