Philadelphia Eagles Vs Chicago Bears Week 16 Showdown Flexed To Sunday Night Football

Just as it felt like none of the games that gave the Eagles a chance to potentially clinch the NFC East would be on a national spotlight, the Eagles tweeted this.

The game will replace the Patriots-Ravens showdown that originally was supposed to be on SNF, and could still have playoff implications.

With a win from the Bears last night over the Cowboys, if the Eagles beat the Vikings next week and the Packers defeat the Cowboys, an Eagles week 16 win would clinch the division. That might take some of the intrigue out of the Eagles-Cowboys week 17 showdown, but I’d rather have the Eagles make the playoffs, than take the chance of losing to the Cowboys in week 17, and missing out on the playoffs.
