As we are becoming accustomed to, Michael Vick is inactive this week for the Eagles. But unfortunately this week, Vick is joined by a few other starters, who have played crucial roles in the Philadelphia Eagles defensive turnaround this season.

Fletcher is a big loss, but getting him healthy for the stretch run is most important for the Eagles. Not to mention Roc Carmichael and Brandon Boykin did a pretty nice job filling his shoes last week.

According to the Eagles Twitter account, Najee Goode will start in place of Michael Kendricks, who is recovering from a knee injury that forced him to leave last week’s win over the Packers.

Patrick Chung, who had lost his starting position to Earl Wolff, is back in as the starting free-safety this afternoon.

The news wasn’t all negative Sunday morning though, as the Eagles got news that a few key players would be active for today’s divisional showdown against the Redskins, in addition to the newly signed Brad Smith.

It’s good to see Peters starting, but don’t be shocked if the Eagles are forced to put Allen Barbre in the game, because Peters has really struggled to stay healthy and play a full game this season.
