Despite being able to practice in a limited role this week, it doesn’t appear that Michael Vick will be available to the Eagles this Sunday, even if they even wanted to use him.
CSN Philly’s Geoff Mosher has the full scoop on Vick’s status.
Michael Vick is still nursing a hamstring injury and is doubtful to play against Green Bay on Sunday at Lambeau Field, according to the team’s injury report.
As much as I am ready to move on from Vick and ride with Nick Foles for at least the remainder of the season, seeing Vick’s Eagles career potentially end so unceremoniously is really a shame.
I think you have to wonder how things might be different if Vick didn’t rush back, and waited one more week to play against Oakland. Matt Barkley would have started against the Giants, and maybe an extra week would have been enough for Vick to perform well against the Oakland Raiders and keep Nick Foles from delivering a seven touchdown performance that may have clinched Vick never getting his starting quarterback job back.
The Packers will also be without their starting quarterback, as Aaron Rodgers is out with a broken collarbone that he suffered in the first quarter of a Monday Night Football loss to the Chicago Bears.
