Riley Cooper "I will fight every Ni**er here"

Country music is ruining this country. I’ve been on the record before as saying this, and while I’m kidding (sort of), Riley Cooper’s actions at a Kenny Chesney concert in the video above strengthen my case.

Riley Cooper, in a sick way, should consider himself lucky that Jeremy Maclin is out for the season. Without Maclin getting hurt, Cooper was considered very expendable by many because of the fact that he has shown very little in his three year career except size and nice hair. And this video surfacing may have been the proverbial nail in the coffin for Cooper’s Eagles career.

Expect an apology from Cooper, even though the video above makes us all realize that Cooper is a bigoted hick. And we can only hope that Riley Cooper is watching Sportscenter tomorrow, and as they talk about his comments Bennie Logan, Jason Peters, Feltcher Cox, and DeMeco Ryans walk into the room and have a nice discussion with Cooper about his comments.

Update:Riley Cooper took to Twitter to apologize for his comments.

Adam Caplan also provided a statement from the Eagles in which they did say that Cooper was fined for using a racial slur.

We are shocked and appalled by Riley Cooper’s words. This sort of behavior or attitude from anyone has no role in a civil society. He has accepted responsibility for his words and his actions. He has been fined for this incident.

In addition to his apology and his fine, Cooper was backed by two of his african-american teammates;Michael Vick and Fletcher Cox.

Cooper later admitted that the comments were in response to getting in a verbal confrontation with an African-american security guard. I think this is an ugly situation, but Cooper appears to be sincere in his apology and the backing from two of his teammates means that this is a situation the Eagles should look to put behind them.
