Just two days into training camp, the Eagles have lost arguably their best receiver Jeremy Maclin to a torn ACL in his right knee. It was rough to see Maclin go down not only because of the impact that he has on the Eagles, but because over the past two years he has been one of the few bright spots on the team and has worked extremely hard to do that.
DeSean Jackson, among others, reacted earlier. It didn’t take long once the news that Maclin tore his ACL became official, for number 18 to take to Twitter and thank Eagles fans and his fans across the country for their outpouring of support for him.
Appreciate all the love and support twitter fam….sad day but I have setbacks my entire life. Minor setback … http://t.co/DiFGrrmI5D

Maclin’s full tweet read as follows: Appreciate all the love and support twitter fam….sad day but I have setbacks my entire life. Minor setback for a MAJOR comeback! #birdgang
I think the #birdgang is really what bums me out about Maclin’s injury. I can’t say enough about how invested Maclin was to the Eagles, not his record company or instagram like his teammate DeSean Jackson.
It seems very unlikely Maclin will wear an Eagles uniform again, as he is set to be a free-agent this off-season, But to me if DeSean Jackson doesn’t make some noise this season, I would move on from him and make my best attempt to keep Maclin.
