With a third inning homerun in last night’s 13-8 Phillies win over the Mets, Dom Brown reached 24 homeruns on the year and 69 RBI’s. Too be honest, if you told me at the beginning of the year that this would be Dom Brown’s stat-line at the end of the year, I would have been more than happy.
The 69th RBI was significant because of a tweet that ESPN Stats and Info sent out prior to the Phillies beginning their tilt with the Mets.
Domonic Brown has 67 RBI this season; no Phillies player had more than 68 RBI all last year

With the 69th RBI, not only did Brown pass Jimmy Rollins team leading RBI total of 68 from 2012, but since it was a homerun he also passed Rollins 23 home-runs which led the Phillies in 2012.
I don’t know whether that stat better illustrates how bad the Phillies offense was in 2012, or the fact that Dom Brown has led a resurgence of sorts offensively for the Phillies in 2013. Either way it should demonstrate that while the Phillies may not be hitting at a clip like they did in the mid to late 2000’s, although they did last night, they certainly have made drastic improvements from last season. And Dom Brown has led the charge.
