Wow, now this is just devastating. Ben Revere, who was batting .305 and was on a 10-game hitting streak, is scheduled to have surgery by Dr. Steven Raikin on Tuesday at the Rothman Institute. The Phillies will be without Revere for 6-8 weeks. Yep, you heard it, 6-8 weeks. In game 1 of a 3-game series against the Chicago White Sox, Revere fouled a ball off his foot, which broke his foot. The Phils ended up losing that game 5-4 in 11 innings. This is very unfortunate news, as this will be a major loss for a Phillies team who was just starting to heat up. Get well soon Ben.
