Before grounding into a game ending double-play in game one of the Phillies double header today vs the White Sox, centerfielder Ben Revere hit a foul ball off of what appeared to be his ankle. As it turns out, Revere was in pain because he hit a ball off his right foot and broke it. And according to MLB.com’s Todd Zolecki, Revere is headed to the disabled list.

Revere had really become a spark in the Phillies lineup over the past month and a half, and to lose him now is a big hit as it appeared the Phillies were climbing back into the race.

I don’t know, Howard is out and Revere is out. I wouldn’t close to the idea of selling, if the Phillies were to get swept by the White Sox.
