Report: Sixers will buyout Kwame Brown

In the same week that rumors surfaced that Doug Collins wanted to give Kwame Brown a five-year 30 million deal, it appears the Sixers don’t have Kwame in their plans for 2013-14.

Expect Hinkie to buy out waste of space Kwame Brown, who reportedly picked up his $3 million option for next season, mainly because he won’t want Brown anyway near such a young group.

Hinkie will undoubtedly add a veteran or two to help with leadership and perhaps play spot minutes, as well as another young free agent or two, this summer. The free agency period began Monday.

Kwame Brown is 31 years-old, and one of the biggest busts in NBA history. Why the Sixers ever signed Kwame was beyond me, let alone giving him a player option for a second year. I don’t think anyone is going to miss Kwame too much in Philly.
