It's Time For A Phillies Rant

Yes, that’s right folks, it’s time for a Phillies rant, especially after that 4-3 loss to the San Diego Padres the other night.

We are through 78 games in the regular season and the Phils are 37-41, 8 games behind the first place Atlanta Braves. The Phillies are 25th overall in runs scored (283), 16th overall in batting average (.251), 22nd overall in on base percentage (.306), 17th overall in slugging percentage (.397), 24th overall in ERA (4.24), 21st overall in WHIP (1.33), and 24th overall in BAA (.260).

One night, the Phillies look amazing, the next, they look horrendous. This team is so frustrating to watch and I’m tired of it. I’m tired of the blown saves, I’m tired of the low scoring games, I’m tired of Charlie Manuel not making the must-needed changes to the lineup, I’m tired of watching Cliff Lee go out there, work his butt off, and still not be able to get the W because of this horrible bullpen. I’m tired of seeing this ball club continue to lose games and not make changes.

I’m tired of this nonsense. This team better start making the improvements and changes that are needed to happen. When the trade deadline arrives, Ruben Amaro Jr. better have a good game plan and make the correct moves because us Philly fans are tired of losing.
