Utley Headed To The DL

Well folks, another man has been added to the DL, and that is Chase Utley. Utley found out today that he has been diagnosed with a mild grade 1 oblique strain and is expected to be out possibly 2-4 weeks.

Ruben Amaro Jr. said, “We do believe and hope that Chase will be ready to play in Philadelphia within 15 days. We are being cautious with this injury as it is a tricky one and want to make sure it isn’t an issue for him throughout the season.”

Now the Phillies have to decide who will replace Utley on the roster, but we do know that Freddy Galvis will get playing time and replace Utley at second base.
