Philly likes it…so will they put five rings on it?
Mayor Michael Nutter recently sent a letter to the United States Olympic Committee expressing the City of Brotherly Love’s interest in hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics. Philadelphia was one of 35 cities the USOC sent letters at to gauge interest in a bid for the 2024 Games.
Other cities have also expressed interest such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Dallas, Tulsa, and even a joint bid by San Diego & Tijuana which reportedly tried to reach out to Mitt Romney to lead its effort.
