What is Donovan McNabb up to these days? Like most retired players, he’s now a sports pundit.

The former Eagles quarterback is now the host of the “Under Center” program on the recently debuted NBC Sports Radio. He hosts the show along with another former QB—Mark Malone. It runs from 3pm to 7pm Philadelphia time, even though the network currently has no affiliate in the Philly area.

McNabb was recently named to NBC as an NFL analyst, and now he’s been rewarded with a daily radio show. He’s already caused some buzz recently when he went off on Twitter about Tony Romo’s new contract that he signed with the Dallas Cowboys.

I wonder how his ratings in North Texas/Dallas/Fort Worth (given NBC Sports Radio is heard on DFW, which I don’t think they are right) are doing after tweeting that?

Of course, McNabb doesn’t live anywhere in the Delaware. His and Mark Malone’s new show on NBC Sports Radio is being produced out of Phoenix, Arizona. That city does have a station airing NBC Sports Radio—KDUS 1060 AM which is owned by Sandusky Radio.

While he may not be currently heard in the City of Brotherly Love, I’m sure that there is some demand among Philadelphia fans for his new show. Some Eagles fans didn’t entirely appreciate McNabb during his career in Philadelphia despite taking the Eagles to several NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl.

Because considering the current state of the Eagles, the early to mid 2000s must feel like a Renaissance in comparison.
