Holiday Has Enjoyable All-Star Weekend

Jrue Holiday might not have won all of the festivities he was in, but he definitely enjoyed them, that’s for sure.

On Saturday night, Holiday got invited to the Skills Competition. In the team round, Holiday finished with the fastest time, 29.3 seconds. He then moved on and had to face Damian Lillard, a tough and talented rookie. Lillard defeated Holiday by 6 seconds. Jrue stated, “That is motivation. That is definitely motivation. But for me, I just wanted to win, not just for the money, but I wanted to be number one.”

Although the all-star point guard lost, he still had a great time.

Holiday made his first All-Star game appearance on Sunday, coming off the bench. He scored 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist, and added pretty flashy dunk.

Holiday said, “It was weird, because I haven’t come off the bench in a while. Usually they count on me at the start of the game to get others going, so it was different. And that dunk made me the most nervous because I didn’t want to embarrass myself, that was the biggest thing. I wanted to make something happen, or make someone stand-out.”

“It was crazy, fast, no sleep, and entertaining.”

Jrue Holiday had a great time, taking it all in.

Hopefully Holiday can take that great feeling with him back to Philly, and help lead the Sixers to the playoffs.
