On Monday night against the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers forward, Thaddeus Young, got injured, and on Tuesday, an MRI revealed the terrible news that Young has a Grade 1 hamstring strain and will be out for approximately 3 weeks. Not only that, but Jason Richardson will be undergoing season-ending surgery next week.
Both Young and Richardson’s absence is going to obviously be a huge loss, as the Sixers are 21-27, trying to reach the .500 mark. The Sixers are really going to have to step up now, as we all know how important Thad and J-Rich are to this team. They are both the guys that you can always count on to give 100 percent effort and hustle to loose balls.
Head coach Doug Collins stated, “Sometimes you have a most valuable player, sometimes you have a most important player and I have always felt that Thad is our most important player.”
