Some heart-breaking news out of Lehigh University and the Philadelphia Eagles training camp this morning. The team was out on the practice field for their morning walkthrough, but was without their head coach, Andy Reid. As the practice went on, rumors were swirling on what is going on with Coach Reid. A press conference after the practice had concluded that featured General Manger Howie Roseman, Chief of Police at Lehigh University Edward Shupp and the Coroner Zachary Lysek, gave us the answer.
Roseman stepped to the podium first and began by telling the reporters present and the world that Garrett Reid, the oldest son of Andy Reid died earlier this morning. Garrett was staying in the dorms at Lehigh University. A 911 call was made around 7:20am EDT. He was pronounced dead at the scene after multiple attempts to revive his unresponsive body.
Shupp spoke next and assured us of the events that took place this morning and their chronological order. He also stated that there are no signs of foul play. The coroner was up next and he reiterated that he was pronounced dead at the scene and that they will keep investigating his death to find the cause of his passing.
Garrett was in the news a lot as he has had a lot of run-ins with the authorities. He was the eldest of Reid’s five children. He was only 28.
