Lou Will Working on His Jumper, Just Kidding, He’s Rapping Again

Eric Hartline-US PRESSWIRE

Lou Williams continues to channel his inner Iverson everywhere except on the basketball court. He’s been spending some time in the studio since the Sixers disappointing Game 7 loss to the now-eliminated Boston Celtics. Today he dropped his newest single, “Number One”. While I definitely don’t expect to see this track at “Number One” on any of the charts, I guess you have to respect a guy that has passions outside of basketball (I guess…?).

Lou finished the regular season as the Sixers’ leading scorer in 2012, but as some of the younger stars progress, I think we’ll see Lou’s minutes decrease drastically. He is a nice sixth man option off the bench, but with Lou’s ego and unwarranted confidence, I’m sure he’ll be looking to slip into a starting role elsewhere. You do have to commend the fact that he has never burst out about not playing enough minutes, but I’m not so sure that will be the case much longer.

I guess he can always fall back on his music career (I guess…?).

Here’s the link to the free download of the “Number One” track for anyone who’s interested (anybody? anybody?).

Comment and tell us what you think Lou’s future holds with the Sixers franchise or elsewhere…..
